⚒️🌋 South Africa may not have very many impressive active volcanoes, but an impressive range of extinct old-times (in addition to the kimberlites Erik mentions, there's the extrusives associated with the Bushveld complex, and the 2.9 billion year-old lavas I studied when I lived there).
