In this paper I will demonstrate the close affinity between the film 'Koyaanisqatsi' and social ecologist Murray Bookchin's concepts of 'First Nature' and 'Second Nature'. I assert further that the film is an audio/visual representation of Bookchin's call for a so-called 'Third Nature' 💁♂️
