I have a little Hummingbird friend who would rather hang out on the porch when it rains than spend time in the woods. When I'm taking pictures of other birds I'll glance over and there he is watching all the other birds himself. 🪶

First-year male Bullock's Oriole waaaay up in big leaf maple in my yard searching for food.
Has that "I've been feeding kids" worn look about him. He's been working hard!
Fun Fact: First-year males are (usually) the last chosen as mates - but - make the best mates and parents. #birds
