lol sob, as a metadata librarian. But yeah, use Zotero! It’s way easier than writing them out the long way and believe me, I have done that! I have a whole thesis where I wrote my citations out. A terrible idea!

While again, I think generally SM restrictions for kids are a good thing in concept, the timing of these overlapping policies that will set to decrease kids peer to peer contact, while increasing peer to AI contact, is not sitting right with me.

A ban on social media for young people is unenforceable and is a cop out that avoids tackling the real problems: the misuse of social media by oligarchs and the erosion of social infrastructure for young people.

I've had a few conversations lately about projects where public or non-profit money is being spent on LLM solutions to problems that could be solved by making a good list and creating effective metadata - v much not rocket science, more like knowledge management 101. But everyone wants a chatbot
The way we talk about ‘the business’ (business needs, business goals, business performance)in public sector rather than ‘the service’ is a symptom of the way commercial thinking has overwhelmed public services, not a cause, but boy I hate it.
