Unsurprisingly, the new @eurosky.social firehose is much faster for @sifa.id to connect to (compared to the standard bsky firehose) and on-par with the @microcosm.blue firehose (as all 3 are on 🇪🇺 Hetzner servers)

Great question! did:plc is like the address book of the network – it knows where your account “lives” so people and apps can always find you, even when you switch servers. That directory is run by Bluesky.
Now there’s an independent European one too, as a backup.
