We, at Queer Vox, wish all our members and the LGBTQIA+ community a most-happy Pride Month!
From its humble origins as the Christopher Street Day protest, to the many who have laid their lives down for self-expression and love, please be safe and mindful when celebrating.
Remember to give yourself some grace. The world is hard enough on us as it is. We don't need to add to that by being unkind to ourselves as well.
Be mindful of corporations who only show up in June.
Be patient in conversations so allies remain allied.
Be caring in the face of suppression.
Be kind even when safety is stripped from you.
Be careful in actions affecting our community.
And, most of all:
Be unapologetic in who you are.
