Watching the latest Disney special on the history of Toy Story with my kids, and it’s hilarious to watch them try and tell this story without ever saying the words “John Lasseter” or “Joss Whedon.”
And like, fuck those guys, but this isn’t really history.
I read and enjoy many of them, but frequently find myself saying, “The level at which this is tailored to my nearly 40 years of reading experience is probably pretty bad!”
Though let’s not pretend both those guys aren’t going to be welcomed back into the fold once this merger goes through…writing a whole new and even worse kind on anti-history as they go!
