This new code is unworkable: it does not protect trans people’s ability to participate fully in society, it does not support organisations that wish to remain inclusive, and it does not comply with the UK’s domestic and international human rights obligations.
Below is a letter sent by Tom Hayes, Labour MP Bournemouth East to the Mary-Anne Stephenson at the EHRC, with Bridget Phillipson and Liv Bailey cc'd. The reply will be evasive, no doubt. But I hope it results in some pressure to change.
