Walking home from a gas station snack run and this guy sitting on the sidewalk panhandling yells out "HEY. ANOTHER WHITE GUY" and then when I respond "yeah, there's a few of us around here" he goes "WAIT! I'M NOT WHITE, I'M ITALIAN"

The police station near this gas station isn't well served by transit, so people sometimes post up at the gas station for awhile asking for directions and bus money after getting released from custody. They often don't know much about the neighborhood they're in, so that first reaction makes sense.
