Last night’s past-the-deadline removal of Trump’s name from the Kennedy Center squeezes into this. Looking at the way the whole thing went down (from the people making the decisions to the lawyers to the workers to the crowd) you can just feel the potential energy that’s being fed into the system.

As we continue to foreclose democratic political processes; as legal avenues produce no justice; as our spaces for civil resistance and protests are eliminated; as our government continues to operate without the consent of the governed this WHOLE THING is just building a giant powder keg.
