I start 'Hand Therapy' soon for the Acute Tendonitis in my drawing hand. I'm trying to hold my pen a different way and swapped the ball point pens for brush pens they're a little gentler and I don't need to apply as much pressure.

My whole life I’ve been told I needed to stand up at my desk, improve my core strength and posture by sitting upright on hard stools. Hold my pen in ways that hurt my hand. I’m unlearning so much and realising it’s ok to choose supportive opinions and even draw from bed if I need to
Recently I was diagnosed with Hypermobile EDS. I also struggle with acute tendonitis in my drawing hand and muscle pains. Any other artists out there have any tips and tricks on how to make the creative experience more comfortable and less hurty? 😅

We’ve gradually reclaimed this corner of the living room, that we were using as an office / studio space. It’s not finished yet, but being able to set up my easel here when working on something big is so exciting!
