A U.S. bomber aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff at Edwards Air Force Base in Southern California with eight people on board, the service said in a statement.
There were no expected survivors.
There was no immediate information on how many people were on board the aircraft, which typically carries a crew of five, at the time of the crash Monday morning.
