We once experimented with a stress mechanic!
If your design took too long or didn't meet the customer's request, you'd start losing daily time points & you'd need to relax to recover.
But that discouraged FAFO-ing, which is half the joy of the game! We cut it, and rejigged the relax mechanic. 😌
