Thesis: some pundits would quite like a RUC-style police force for England
Seriously though, people on bluesky are making it about twitter because duh, but I really don't think that's the story in this case?
Quite! Places in England that have seen unrest, don't have organised groups of Energetic Men, helpfully Recommending that residents turn off their ring door bells, and not film rioters faces
The parallel for a minority group being burnt out of their houses in Northern Ireland is .. all the times that has happened in Northern Ireland?
This makes no sense. It would be like Kristallnacht if the paramilitaries were controlled by the NI Executive and the Justice Minister cheered them on and imposed a massive fan on the migrants to pay for the damage while confiscating their property and arresting their leaders This did not happen
Also.. this is nothing like Kristallnacht?? Which was a state led pogrom followed by mass arrests??

You don't get this in England (thankfully)
(I don't actually think quasi paramilitaries in NI, after a horrific murder, is about twitter actually)
(It's a different world over there, and not one driven by Elon Musk)
Buddy this isn't even the first time this has happened in Northern Ireland in the 2020s
