The women didn’t react, but it definitely did spark something in her that war general of her never knew how to turn off-
“Ha…I wouldn’t say fine I’m sure there are better women out there, but you got it dinner once we get back! All on me!”
Elda Vaslosa
“I will certainly offer no complaint, dinner with a fine woman such as yourself is a lovely way to celebrate a successful undertaking~”
Kitalie greaned, leaning over to lightly nudge Elda with her shoulder
Kitalie Ōtomo
That assured her even put a smile on her face.
“Sooo…”
She was bad at this though…small talk and just keeping company in general even if it was someone she knew…all she knew was well barking orders.
“How about after all is said and done I treat us to dinner?”
Elda Vaslosa
“Indeed, and we shall both return safely.” The foxen one said confidently
It was fairly straightforward, all things considered. Having multiple partners, whether they be wives, husbands, concubines, or whatever other term one might use, was mostly the same as having one. Except that there are a few
Kitalie Ōtomo
“Sounds like you’ve got it all planned out then.”
She said with a chuckle she did wonder how…well having two wife’s worked…she heard of it but mostly assumed it was just a joke.
“Well then I’ll do my best to ensure you return to them safely.”
Elda Vaslosa
“Oh, certainly. My first wife is actually a fellow huntress. And my first boywife is capable in his own right for when I carry a child myself.”
The kitsune nodded, a bright smile crossing her face and revealing her vulpine fangs
Kitalie Ōtomo
“I assume you want someone who’s well capable of handling a child right?
Perhaps even a women who knows how to defend themself and all? I’d assume that because well…it’s better safe then sorry yea?”
She asked glancing over to the kitsune women.
Elda Vaslosa
“An understandable approach. Given my circumstances, I have been somewhat selective with who I choose to take as a wife.”
Kitalie Ōtomo
“The ability to raise a family…”
She said thinking for a moment mixed with her focus being on the road ahead of her.
“I can understand that to a sense, it’s the reason I haven’t dated anyone in a while…I want someone responsible especially for a child…”
Elda Vaslosa
The fox raised an eyebrow, then rolled her eyes “That depends on whether one values the ability to raise a fanily or not, which I do.”
Kitalie Ōtomo
A more gentle smack to the back of her head…gentle compared to the hits she does for new recruits jokingly around in her training.
“Pretty sure that last one was unnecessary!”
She said before she scoffed focusing on the road.
“But at least you have things set straight for yourself.”
Elda Vaslosa
“Hmmm… well, I prefer women who have clear goals and desires, are compassionate in a general sense, can make decisions for themselves, and are fertile.”
She answered after a few moments of thought. “That covers some general characteristics, anyways.”
Kitalie Ōtomo
“Is that so?”
She couldn’t help but chuckle softly, shaking her head before she took the reins to well lead the horse into going ahead.
“Well, since it’ll be a while…why don’t you tell me what else you enjoy about well women of your type now you’ve got me curious.”
Elda Vaslosa
“Ah, excellent. I do so love a woman who plans ahead~”
Firearms weren’t quite a thing where the kitsune came from. Artillery had been developed, but personal application hadn’t been popularized yet
Kitalie Ōtomo
Elda would well notice…but she was also quite clueless as she’s never used a sword surprisingly…she couldn’t get used to them in her youth hence her pistols.
“Of course all essentials should already be here, I keep this carriage ready at all times so we shouldn’t have to worry about anything.”
Elda Vaslosa
Kitalie slipped her hand into Elda’s, her palm and fingers entirely too soft for one who carried a sword and seemed so confident in its use.
The kitsune let the other help her up onto the cart, springing up lightly to join her. “Thank you~”
Kitalie Ōtomo
She would put two fingers together to her lips before whistling, what came next was a horse carrying a cart behind it.
She walked over stepping up onto the cart they’d be sitting on, holding her hand out to help the kitsune up.
“Here let me help you.”
Elda Vaslosa
“I can walk, but if it would be more efficient to travel by carriage that may be the preferable option.”
Sbe answered after a brief moment of thought
“The sooner we arrive, the slimmer the chances of someone unwitting stumbling into it.”
Kitalie Ōtomo
“That’s good…then you’ll be on trap searching duty for us.”
She said with a nod…the journey was going to be quite a walk so she glanced back as she spoke.
“It’s far do you wish to walk it, otherwise I can probably get us a carriage for the road ahead of us.”
Elda Vaslosa
“By all means. I am more adept at finding and avoiding traps than disarming them.”
The swordsfox had a fair variety of tricks and talents, but disabling traps and picking locks weren’t among them… she had other ways to get into places without an invitation
Kitalie Ōtomo
“It should be stated I’ll be in charge of disarming traps and well checking for them.”
She said as she continued to walk planing to lead Kitalie to well, the dungeon she had been informed about and where they needed to investigate.
Elda Vaslosa
“You are most welcome.”
Kitalie answered before following Elda, coming up alongside the other once they exited. Given the difference in their height, she had to walk briskly to keep pace, but she seemed comfortable in doing so
Kitalie Ōtomo
“Good and thank you for working with me and all.”
She said with a nod before following right behind the kitsune, soon enough walking out of the door and leading the way.
Elda Vaslosa
“As you say. I have no issue with following your direction.”
The kitsune opened the door for her, waiting for the other adventurer to lead the way
Kitalie Ōtomo
“Just so we’re on the same page, you’ll be following my lead okay?
If I tell you to do something, please just do it and of course don’t disobey any of my orders unless things are drastic got it?”
(💭 Should have changed my outfit for this…but It’ll be fine a simple recon is all it is.)
Elda Vaslosa
Kitalie nodded again and moved towards the door, one hand resting on the scabbard at her side
“Excellent. Onwards then!”
Kitalie Ōtomo
“Good…well no doubt need that for this.”
She said with a nod watching as her tails disappeared she would give a nod as she stretched her hands up and over her head.
“Sounds like a plan, let’s get going before it’s dark and we have even more to worry about.”
Elda Vaslosa
“A reasonable approach. Fortunately, my experience aside, i’ve ever been of a composed temperament.”
Kitalie’s tails bundled themselves together before disappearing behind her, giving her the appearance of a normal human being
“Now then, shall we be off?”
Kitalie Ōtomo
“Precisely it’s mostly a scouting mission which is why I’d prefer experienced hands.”
She said letting out a soft sigh.
“We don’t know what’s down there and if any threats arise I don’t want someone panicking and getting themself killed.”
Elda Vaslosa
“Of course, our survival is, as ever, the priority.”
The dusky fox answered, then nodded
“So it’s primarily a scouting trip then, understood.”
Kitalie Ōtomo
“Just be careful okay…?”
She said with a soft sigh as she crossed her arms.
“I wish for us to both get out of this dungeon alive…our goal isn’t to complete it but just to mark any traps or rare findings we discover.”
Elda Vaslosa
“A fair point. Very well then, a daring duo we shall be for this undertaking.”
The kitsune nodded slightly, adjusting the wide, conical hat she wore whilst traveling
Kitalie Ōtomo
“Let’s just stick with us…if we need any healing we can just bring potions…
Not to mention I don’t think we’d find a capable third candidate anyways.”
Elda Vaslosa
“Very well. Shall we seek another to secure a trio, or shall we begin this undertaking with just each other?”
Kitalie Ōtomo
“You tempt me to test that theory of yours…”
She said with a soft sigh.
“But considering these are my more nicer clothes…I’ll refrain and just have to take your word for it.”
Elda Vaslosa
“Indeed. And not all openings are as they appear~”
The swordsfox flashed a smile, setting her hands on her hips as her tails swish and sway behind her
“But we shall see what it brings.”
Kitalie Ōtomo
“Good you didn’t have much of a choice
I was planning to bring you regardless.
Based off of first encounters you show promise, even if I can study you and detect openings well-
Most beast can’t so.”
Elda Vaslosa
“Ah, understandable. I suppose that novices can be a liability if underprepared. Fortunately, you needn’t fear such issues with me.”
Kitalie Ōtomo
“The problem comes not a lot of people exactly meet the criteria to join me for such a mission.
I’m still teaching these beginners how to not die…
Even then recruiting people is hard with how many guild members fear me.”
Elda Vaslosa
“With a name like that, it may be wise.”
Kitalie Ōtomo
“The missions for the week came in…
Endless abyss huh…
Yea that doesn’t sound scary at all…wonder if I should bring a party with me…”
