I'm disappointed but not surprised that so-called "normie" Republicans are silent about the Lincoln Memorial being used for an event meant to excite POTUS's base. The GOP used to revere Lincoln. Now, he's just part of a rewrite of history that excludes slavery & promotes white supremacy.😟
Well, that took forever, and it wasn't even a word I expected. Couldn't get there till 5, but hey, a win is a win. And how did you do? Wordle #1,815 5/6

What a privilege to see Rush performing live. The new iteration, with Anika, is wonderful. And it was so gratifying to see how happy Geddy looked up on stage-- he loves being a musician and entertaining the fans. I can't wait to see Rush live. But for now, I'm glad they are back! [feeling joyful]☺️

I met Gene Shalit when I was working at a jazz radio station in NY in the late 1970s. He was funny, personable, and a very knowledgeable movie critic who never took himself too seriously. Sorry to hear he has died, at age 100. May he rest in peace. people.com/gene-shalit-...?
