Conservatives do not inherently hold anti-immigration stances, in 1986 Ronald Reagan signed an immigration bill that granted amnesty for the nation's then three million undocumented immigrants. The Democrats have not always been pro immigration we need look no further than Bill Clinton's 1995 State of the Union Address or Obama who was called by some the "Deporter in Chief". Yet, from a certain cynical electoral logic, both of the viable American political parties should be in favor of not only of immigration but also mass amnesty. There has been a discussion around liberals trying to steal election via open borders policies.
