Kind, of ahem, noticeable that the condemnation of racist attacks is much more subdued than it briefly was when this oaf was out the door, isn’t it?
I've always loved that track, but it's had a special place in my heart since the weekend I stayed with a friend in London who'd recently started a new and very serious relationship, the upshot of which was that I had to sleep on a mattress in the kitchen. (And it was a small kitchen.)

We do not need to spend more money on bombs and bullets.
We need to spend more on housing, schools and our NHS instead.
A roof over your head. Enough food to feed your children. A public health service you can rely on in your time of need.
That is what real security means.
Occasionally I hear or read the word 'privilege' and get an immediate earworm.
