We also found that highly nature-related people (i.e., with strong subjective sense of connection with nature) listed more words and rated more words as good examples of nature.

After years of struggling to give a good definition in talks, we decided to ask the people. We used the prototype approach to describe how people think about nature in this new paper (open access):
