I think the sheer sweatiness of making someone try to focus their phone camera on your QR code and then watching them intently while they create a profile in front of you really sums up the energy the average Bluesky user brings to the function.
For some reason I take a look at most of the profiles that follow me. I will say that if you are followed by like one of 15 mutuals or your pinned post is a topster of albums, video games or books for freaks, it is an almost immediate follow back.
