I also think I need to start looking at experiences like these from a roleplaying perspective - if it's frustrating for me having to traipse around snowy mountains for five hours while snooty elves completely disregard me, my character probably feels the same way if not worse.

I rant about FFXIV a lot but am 100% on board and am having a good time, I think I'm a nice ways into the base game now as a level 45 summoner. Love the atmosphere and most of the moment to moment writing, it's just a bit too long-winded sometimes.
Wanna pick up Dancer and Red Mage soon.
