Beginning in 1956, the eatery's iconic, suspender-wearing mascot starred in 'The Adventures of Big Boy,' a free, long-running promotional comic book whose early contributors included Stan Lee, Bill Everett, Sol Brodsky, and Dan DeCarlo.
