Is this a bad time to mention how much I love skellymen in media? Can't go wrong with a skeleton. Lovable scamps, the lot of them.
I also love Wizards, a ton. Scrunglier and Eviler the better. Swords and Sandals Sorcerers and mean viziers and nefarious wizened old spellcasters.
