Today I went to Auschwitz. I wanted to bear witness & remember. However much you think you know, you cannot really understand until you stand on that ground & see the scale, the enormity, the cold calculation, the ruthless, inhuman cruelty. My family - Sarah, Carola, Judith - you are remembered.
