@council.nyc.gov recently passed the Public Advocate's bill to formally recognize this month in New York City.
Awareness is the first step in reducing stigma and discrimination, and replacing exclusion with empathy.

In the decade since the tragic attack at Pulse Nightclub, there is another tragedy: Anti-LGBTQ+ hate and hateful policies are everywhere, and the plague of gun violence remains.
We must finally act to honor those killed at Pulse.
While the state budget is settled, the hard decisions are not over at City Hall. The people who feel the impact of investments or cuts deserve the chance to see what’s at stake.
