PERSON OF THE DAY. 16 June 2016. Labour MP Helen Joanne (“Jo”) Cox (aged 41), was murdered by a far right extremist in Birstall, West Yorkshire. She was 1st sitting UK MP to be assassinated since the Conservative Party’s Ian Gow, who was killed by an IRA car bomb on 30 July 1990.
jo cox was shot by a nazi and as far as i am aware louise haigh was the only MP who said we should think about banning nazis
10 years on, Jo Cox was murdered by a far-right extremist.
Jo was an extraordinarily warm person who believed in a more inclusive society for all. Today, we remember Jo, and vow to build the kinder world she was striving for.
