I am thrilled to share my second PhD manuscript! We modelled bee polarisation vision and tested two navigational models. Many thanks to @jjfosterlab.bsky.social and all our collaborators (@egkanias.bsky.social,@edinburgh-uni.bsky.social,@insectlabsu.bsky.social) for such a productive collaboration!

Really excited to see this great work published! It was an honor and unforgettable experience to be part of this joint effort in @scottvedwards.bsky.social lab!
It was a great honour and pleasure!!
I am excited to share our new paper on anchovy retina connectomics! This was a great collaboration with Prof. Heß at LMU Munich and an incredible opportunity to explore neural circuitry in a unique visual system.

Do bright lights change how you dance? 🔆💃
Waggle-dancing honeybees interpret bright UV & green as the sun, but dim UV as a patch of sky.
Thanks Keram Pfeiffer @uni-wuerzburg.de for trusting me with your data & @jgraving.bsky.social for the circular GLMM.

Very proud of this new paper from the lab! Work by the magnificent Andrea Adden and many brilliant collaborators illuminate how moth and butterfly brains have evolved in light of different ecologies. Freely available here: rdcu.be/eVR3B; @lundvision.bsky.social @biologylu.bsky.social
Congratulations to Anna Stöckl receiving the prestigious Walther-Arndt award from the German Zoological Society. #dzg2025 @anna-stoeckl.bsky.social 🥳🥂

I'm really happy to share the first preprint of my PhD work in @jjfosterlab.bsky.social! During a fruitful collaboration with @gregoeur.bsky.social, we uncovered a surprising feature of bees' eyes!
