*ADD* more statistical and mathematical *THINKING* to the curriculum. It will seem esoteric but it really isn't.
I can look up how to calculate an odds ratio but knowing when and why I should is much more important.

All mathematics education should be rooted in something practical: how to budget, simple accounting for a small business, and modular arithmetic for calculating duration. Then, explain probability so they don't get wiped out at the bookie's.
