The best argument I've heard lately for karma being real would be that after four days of scrambling to make my apartment landlady-presentable (okay, arguably my own neurosis), I ended up in two really good and two not-bad RPs last night. I also stayed up stupidly late, but still...worth it.
Last weekend I watched "Bros", which came out in 2022, and then "Jeffrey", from 1995. It was interesting to look at them as snapshots of gay romance films separated by 30 years, and see how much has changed and how much hasn't, especially with regards to the AIDS epidemic and LGBTQ+ representation.
God I missed having a normal day.
Well, we certainly went from "WTF is it going to warm up?" to "JFC could it please cool down a bit?"
It's uncomfortable when you want someone to be telling the truth, but the thing they'd be telling the truth about is actually awful.
Hard to tell how reliable this is (and data is simply unavailable for many places), but it's interesting.
