Since 2020, 29 women in the North of Ireland have been murdered, most by (white) men they knew. Pretty sure that the racist thugs who engaged in violence, arson and intimidation in Belfast last night rioted about any of those attacks... www.irishtimes.com/crime-law/20...

Ahead of a major show at Tate Modern this summer, I wrote about Ana Mendieta's 'Imagen de Yagul' for the Royal Academy of Arts mag. It’s the most striking of her Silueta series, and laden with contrasts: the vitality of nature juxtaposed with the inevitability of death; otherworldly and corporeal.
