Dementia risk goes beyond your age and genetics. Researchers at Rush found that your neighborhood, income, education and housing may also play a role.
Living in a disadvantaged neighborhood may increase the risk of developing dementia, according to newly published research in Neurology, the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology.
