Anyone got any candles? I only need 300.
An amazing event, well done to @scottishgeology.bsky.social and especially @thenoblegasbag.bsky.social for organising. And they said it would never work ...

Drinking whisky as the moon rises at Siccar Point. A special place and a story well told. Good night!
A beautiful day! My life has been dominated for the last year by building the Deep Time Trail at Siccar Point to celebrate James Hutton's 300th birthday. Formal launch of the trail is today, it is looking great, and I'm mightily proud of what has been achieved.

Final week for @royalscottishacad.bsky.social bicentenary annual exhibition in Edinburgh, featuring James Hutton and deep time inspired artwork. Well worth a visit for the geological content in addition to the other contemporary art in it.
Thanks for giving such a wonderful introduction to James Hutton to the annual meeting of the Royal Scottish Forestry Society last night. Look forward to visiting this Trail.
