correct, that’s the thing, ellison didn’t just put weiss in charge because she’s a proven suckup to power, he did it because the wealthy, privileged people he knows and associates with all think the free press is the mainstream of what americans think. he’s wrong.

I don't think it can be stated often enough that they (and Weiss) viewed these changes as absolute moneymaking moves. They think there is a massive untapped market for what they are pushing and are stunned to be finding out that there isn't.
