Seems like a slightly different style of Tanuki transformation happened due to Ro being a boy, or did someone mess with them again!?!

Ro got captured by an amphibious race that lacks males so they turn captured travelers into males to 'support' the race while locked up in ceremonial outfits.
Hopefully they can find a way to escape, and turn back to normal as having a long tail and changed body is awkward.

While stuck as a boy Ro was doing some 'experimenting' but seems they forgot their friends were bugging them to go to the beach. It seems being unable to reach Ro by phone they just decided to summon them directly... revealing a bit of an embarrassing situation.

While a tad early seasonally seem Boy Ro got made into an impromptu jiangshi after someone stuck a couple of talismans on them.
