I love this image and it 100% tracks with my first year as an administrator. And to extend the metaphor: there are many times when Ts know it’s raining and realize the impact, but haven’t yet been told there’s a hurricane coming that we need to brace for. Holding that is one of the toughest parts.

The pressure is the part that many teachers will never see or understand. Because absorbing that pressure and keeping it from the teachers is part of the job. Good admin are like ballerinas. Always balancing and in pain on stage but making it look easy while keeping the BS and drama backstage
