With my last free hour+ in Edinburgh, I was able to take up Alison’s suggestion and we hoofed it over to St. John’s Episcopal Church. A relatively new church (1816), there are no memorials pre-19th century, unlike St. Giles.

If you're still in Edinburgh, St John's at the corner of Lothian Road and Princes St is also worth a visit. Beautiful glass and a stunning ceiling.
