The Canadian Space Agency has awarded $2.4 million to three companies to design the ground-control systems for the country's upcoming fleet of new Earth observation satellites.

German rocket builder Isar Aerospace has closed a funding round of approximately $400 million CAD (270 million Euros), bringing the company's total funding raised to date to roughly $1.3 billion CAD (870 million Euros). This is good news for Maritime Launch Services who recently signed an agreement with them to pursue launches from Spaceport Nova Scotia.

SpaceX (SPCX) shares began trading on the Nasdaq today following the largest initial public offering (IPO) in history. The space and artificial intelligence company successfully raised $75 billion (all figures in USD) by selling shares at a fixed price of $135 with 555,555,555 shares available to the public. This historic offering values SpaceX at a massive $1.77 trillion.
Artemis II moon astronaut Jeremy Hansen says there is ample opportunity for Canada to contribute to NASA’s newly expanded moon base project. When the top executives of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) arrived at the House of Commons Standing Committee on Science and Research on Monday, May 25, 2026, the goal was seemingly clear: a briefing on the state of Canadian science and space exploration. Instead, what unfolded was a masterclass in parliamentary farce.
