With @linder-surprise.bsky.social and the @rokaslab.bsky.social, we evaluated glycolytic rates in 299 species using a newly developed ECAR assay. Genes retained by S. cerevisiae were highly expressed in Sat. dispora, indicating the CE of aerobic fermentation.
