Brassard and Wells discuss how next-generation human pluripotent stem cell-derived organoids are achieving greater cellular complexity by more faithfully reproducing developmental processes. Advances in tissue interactions, specialized cell incorporation, and bioengineering technologies are enabling increasingly physiologically relevant organoid models to study human development, disease mechanisms, and regenerative biology.
Jia et al. develop SPACE-seq, a versatile technology that integrates CRISPR barcoding with spatial transcriptomics to jointly map cell ancestry, identity, and location. Compatible with diverse spatial platforms, SPACE-seq can be applied to a wide range of biological questions, revealing clonal architecture, migration, and fate-shaping interactions in development and cancer.
Earlier this week I posted an example of a fake western blot provided by ThermoFisher to demonstrate the validity of a p53 antibody. I considered it an amusing curiosity. In fact Thermo Fisher Scientific has systematically manipulated antibody validation data!
