A moment of silence for Derek Chauvin is basically a tribute to the idea that the state should have the right to decide who lives and who dies with minimal accountability. So predictable. You build a hierarchy, arm it, protect it, and then act surprised when it behaves exactly as designed.
If they’re scrambling, it’s because pressure works! Let’s don’t wait for their “walls” to fall. Organize locally, support survivor groups, demand full release of records, show up to protests, and build networks that hold power accountable without relying on their institutions to police themselves. ✊
