Mario Paint Players Guide ad (1992).
While this might not be the most exciting ad, it’s a bit historic. This is the last known use of the original Mario mascot costume. You can even see he has his blue shirt and red overalls here.
X-Men 2: Clone Wars - Sega Genesis ad (1995).
Rockman: Battle & Chase - Roll teaser artwork.
This artwork was released before the game was announced to hint that a Rockman racing game was on the way. Roll is dressed in real-world racing attire here for the sole purpose of making that point clear.

Side note: for some reason, Nintendo gave Sears this art to use in their catalogs despite having a bunch of more on-model promo art. Sears would go on to use this Mario art well into the SNES era.

McDonald’s Japan has released a TV commercial for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Happy Set (Happy Meal).
Japan has produced their own original commercial for the set. Every other region used a CGI animated commercial dubbed in their language.
