At times [and it’s also a bs reason because I was a console player up until last year and had to imagine stuff lol] Casca uses magicks to make his arm look “normal”.
So now it’s permanently purple.
His Aether used to be far too much for Casca to handle that it was explosive due to his own power, but as well as the Primal living inside of him amplifying his power.
In time, he learned to harness and control his Aether better, being one of the most +
powerful casters in my story. At times he can still lose control, but being a Dark Knight, which is his main job now where it used to be Scholar, Esteem keeps everything controlled. He is very skilled as a DRK with dark magicks, but is still a healer at heart and still powerful in healing magicks +
as well.
However, very gradually, and I mean extremely gradually Casca’s Aether is dwindling because of ShB events that in many many years down the line, he will no longer be able to use magicks.
@wickedholy.bsky.social for the white aether idea
Casca’s Aether to me is very interesting. This is some new lore made just the other night and suggested by a friend that originally Casca’s Aether was white. Because of his misuse in Black Magicks and his body not being able to handle it and being more acquainted with White Magicks/Healing Magicks +
The Black Magicks sort of corrupted his Aether and boiled his blood, causing his Aether to turn red.
From there, it was permanently red, until he died at the end of Endwalker where Stargazer poured his own Aether into Casca in hopes to save him. [His Aether is blue], it turned Casca’s purple. +
I forgot to mention that also because of the misuse of Black Magicks, Casca’s hands [when he still had both, but now only has one] were both heavily scarred. Now he has only one scarred hand he always keeps covered and one hand made of Aether.
SFW picture just bsky hates my reference photos.
