✨ Simplification efforts in the Digital Networks Act should not come at the expense of consumers. The success of the EU telecoms rules show that innovation, competition and consumer choice go hand in hand to deliver better services, lower prices and higher investment in connectivity.
👏 Net neutrality is a EU success story for consumers. The Open Internet rules work and there is no evidence of market failure. Calls to change these rules risk undermining net neutrality and to provide a pathway to network fees, ultimately increasing costs for consumers and distorting competition.
@claudio-teixeira.bsky.social: “The neutrality of the internet is a fundamental principle for ensuring consumer choice and fair access to a variety of online services. We call on EU lawmakers to be mindful of the risks of introducing such sweeping changes that could impact consumers' rights.”
