Fascist movements intentionally create fear, confusion, and mental overload to stop people from thinking critically. This manufactured chaos pushes citizens to give up on any form of involvement and instead support a "strongman" who guarantees constant order.
These fascists drown the information scene with tons of bullshit lies and wild conspiracy theories, trying to fuck up facts we know and we rely on. This unbelievable propaganda overwhelms citizens, draining trust from science, universities, and journalism, creating a messy battle for truth.
When American citizens are overwhelmed and give up on failing democratic institutions, the fascist POTUS assigns himself as the only one capable of restoring order. It's a way of wearing you down so you eventually jump on their team.
