🌡️ Extreme heat threatens 1.23B livelihoods, with yield losses tripling during drought. #LAFERIA builds regional resilience by restoring #LandscapeFeatures (LF). While we work on identifying the costs for the climate, we also look at the benefits and focus on enforcing them.

🌱 Our partners @EDIA and @BIOPOLI-CIBIO hosted the inception workshop for the Portugal case study, where 30 participants, including farmers, public bodies, and researchers, discussed the reintroduction of landscape features (LF) into the Alqueva region.

We were delighted to refind Pepper Saxifrage in one of the PLWS ridge and furrow meadows next to Kilsby Lane LWS yesterday. This time 6 plants. As a species that grows in unimproved grasslands it's declining in abundance and is a great indicator @bsbibotany.bsky.social
