I simply do not understand how moving humanity to a planet that at a minimum doesn’t sustain any complex lifeforms would be an easier or better alternative than bringing the temperature back down slightly on ours
The fantasy of human colonization of Mars isn't just stupid, unrealistic, or a waste of resources — it's pernicious, because it actively stokes insouciance with respect to safeguarding the only planet that at least 99.99999999% of us are ever going to live on.
