In fact, no one with any insight believes these numbers! Stop using these numbers! They are meaningless!
The Irish Central Statistics Office does not even believe these numbers! Which is why they introduced “globalisation-excluding” national income data a couple of years ago, to more accurately measure the actual Irish economy.

Profit shifting by US big tech and pharma has been wreaking havoc on Eurozone growth indicators for years. At times, Ireland’s ludicrously unreliable data has single-handedly pulled Eurozone growth into plus territory (insane as that sounds, it’s true). Now it’s the opposite.
