Celebration is exactly what it sounds like: a powerful reminder that Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian culture is alive, vibrant, and thriving. Quyana Juneau!

He taught me that real public service means cutting through the noise coming out of DC, ignoring the Lower 48 partisanship, and focusing on what truly matters: putting Alaska first. He worked with anyone, no matter the party, to deliver huge wins for this state for nearly 50 years.

Fighting for Alaska means fighting for our fisheries, our economy, and our communities. That's the job. It’s time our leaders started doing it.
Happy Don Young Day, Alaska. Let's carry his spirit forward the way he'd want, by continuing his fight to put Alaska first.
While his shoes can never truly be filled, it was clear when he passed that someone had to try to walk in his footsteps to continue the fight he'd given so much of his life to. That's a big part of what drove me to run for Congress in the first place.
Today we honor Don Young, a true giant of Alaska and one of the greatest public servants this state will ever know. Don was a role model, a mentor, and a friend. His legacy lives in what he built for this state, and in the love he had for it.
Hearing directly from Alaskans never gets old. Honored to have their support!
Life is hard in Alaska. I know because I've lived here my whole life. The distance, the cost of living, the industries we depend on – none of it is easy. Alaskans deserve leaders who actually understand what our communities are up against – and don't make life harder.

This is a crisis. DC politicians have turned their backs on families in the Bush who can’t afford to fill their tanks. Something needs to change. alaskabeacon.com/2026/06/03/y...

Gas and heating fuel prices in rural Alaska were already high. An impending spike from the Iran war could "wipe out" communities.
