At the Queer Fake Shaadi in New York last month, LGBTQ+ South Asians shook off cultural norms by visualizing their own weddings and reimagining traditional customs.
“Seeing such a large, joyful community come together made me realize how much love and support exists, even if it’s not always visible," one attendee said.
