… to check in on and think about while I changed diapers, made Mac and cheese, and tried to distract myself from the fact that I also had papers to mark. I learned more about stats and how to think rigorously about the interplay of randomness and skill than I’d almost like to admit.

Why is it so important to me that Canadians understand how little the incomes of the rich were taxed in 🇨🇦 in the 1950s and 1960s? Much less than in the U.S. 🇨🇦 did not tax capital gains until 1972. The top marginal rate was high, yes, but easily avoided. Why do I want ppl to know this? 1/5

The Oilers may never win another Stanley Cup, but the Oilogosphere got one!
